American Racing Capital, Inc. / AMRA Will Exercise Its Option to Purchase Motor Speedway in Mississippi
Business Wire, Nov 26, 2007
SAN DIEGO -- American Racing Capital, (OTCBB: AMRA), a company specializing in the Motorsports Industry, announced today the Company is preparing to exercise it's Option to Purchase Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Mississippi. The Company has been in contact with several lending institutions. The land appraisal has come back favorably on the 100 plus acre parcel. When completed, this will be a multi-million dollar transaction for American Racing Capital. In addition to purchasing the Speedway, there is additional land available for future projects such as local business development and/or other attractions.
Bob Koveleski, President of American Racing Capital said, "Since locking up the option to purchase this track and the adjoining property back in September, certain announcements about what might be happening on the opposite side of the highway has boosted the value of the Magnolia property. Also, race tracks are increasingly becoming hot properties. Just a few weeks ago, Bruton Smith of Speedway Motorsports Corp., (NYSE:TRK) paid $340 million for New Hampshire Speedway. No one, to our knowledge is going after the grass-roots racing market which in our view, has the greatest opportunity for growth. Closing on Magnolia will of course significantly increase ARC's asset base. "
Magnolia Motor Speedway, http://www.magnoliamotorspeedway.net/, is strategically located near the intersections of U.S. Highways 82 and 45. Several hundred racing drivers compete at Magnolia every year. Currently, races at the Speedway are sponsored by companies such as; Coca-Cola Co. (NYSE: KO), Molson Coors Brewing Company (NYSE: TAP), Anheuser-Busch Companies Inc. (NYSE:BUD), auto dealers and other local businesses. American Racing Capital looks to bring its expertise into the marketplace to help procure additional sponsors for the Speedway and to possibly expand on the number of race events and other quality entertainment for the benefit of the fans, the drivers, and the community.
