Salon City, Inc. Reports Increased Viewings on New Website
Business Wire, Nov 26, 2007
WEST HOLLYWOOD, Calif. -- Salon City, Inc. (OTC:SLON) reported today that traffic to www.saloncity.com has increased since 13 November, when the revamped website was launched. The new site has an updated look, and includes such features as the original web show Hollywood CeleBeauty, digital editions of SCI's flagship magazine, Salon City, and regularly updated news reports and podcasts.
SCI president and CEO, Steven Casciola, remarked that, "It's still very early in our launch phase, but already the initial stats and analytics are positive. Overall, we've seen an approximately 200% increase in visits from this time last month; 69% of them were new visitors. Their average stay was 4 1/2 minutes. Previously, viewers stayed only a few seconds. They came from 48 countries, and averaged viewing six pages per visit. This is a good sign of more growth to come."
The initial beta phase 2.0 will continue through the holidays. A larger marketing campaign is planned for 2008 to attract more viewers and set the stage for revenue-producing sponsorships and integrated branding partnerships with targeted advertisers and companies.
Added Casciola, "That's when we'll initiate our plans to develop and optimize our reach and our effectiveness in delivering the kind of tangible results that will make Salon City a number one destination for print and Internet media."
