Web Services Interoperability Organization Also to Participate in Standards Corner
WAKEFIELD, Mass. -- The Web Services Interoperability Organization (WS-I: www.ws-i.org) will be hosting an interoperability demonstration at Gartner's Application Architecture, Development & Integration Summit (AADI: (www.gartner.com/us/addi-fall) in Las Vegas December 3-5 at the Rio All Suite Hotel & Casino. WS-I and several of its member organizations - BEA, IBM, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and Sun Microsystems - will demonstrate the value of secure, interoperable Web services, supported by WS-I Basic Security Profile 1.0, at the Solution Showcase, Amazon Ballroom.
"Ask customers about their top requirements for Web services, and many will say 'interoperability' and 'security,'" said Michael Bechauf, president and chairman of WS-I. "Our WSI-I member demonstration at the Gartner AADI Summit will provide compelling proof that WS-I profiles address these requirements effectively."
Using a Supply Chain Management example, WS-I demonstrators will guide attendees through the ways in which the WS-I Basic Secure Profile 1.0 (BSP1.0) achieves interoperability for WS-Security 1.0 and the supporting WS-Security Token profiles. Demonstrators will also show how BSP1.0 composes with the WS-I Basic Profile 1.1 (SOAP, WSDL, UDDI) when developing and deploying secure Web services.
WS-I will also be participating in the Standards Corner at the event, located at the Solution Showcase, Amazon Ballroom. Representatives from WS-I will be on hand to answer questions about the organization, including how to become a member of WS-I.
Attendees of WS-I's interoperability demonstration must be registered at the Gartner AADI Summit. To register, go to www.gartner.com/us/addi-fall.
