National Investor Relations Institute , Philadelphia Chapter, Announces 2007-2008 Board of Directors

PHILADELPHIA -- NIRI/ Philadelphia Chapter announced the new board members for the 2007-2008 year. Michelle Debkowski, CRP, CPA , Executive Vice President Assistant Corporate Secretary and Investor Relations Officer Manager of Corporate Communications of National Penn Bancshares, Inc. will serve as President. She had previously served as Vice President and Treasurer of NIRI Philadelphia.
Joining Ms. Debkowski on the Philadelphia Board of Directors are Stephanie M. Baldwin, Investor Relations Manager for Antares Pharma, Inc.; John Demming, Director of Financial Communications for Comcast Corporation; Mark Donahue, Director of Investor Relations for Dow Jones & Co.; Karen Greene, Vice President of Investor Relations for Internet Capital Group; and Barbara Krauter, Manager of Corporate Communications for Neose Technologies, Inc.
Michelle Debkowski commented, "Joining the Philadelphia Chapter of NIRI was one of the very first steps I took after being asked to manage my company's investor relations program. The education provided by the Chapter's quality programs as well as the relationships formed with other Investor Relations professionals are invaluable. Programs for this year include a presentation by noted economist Herb Taylor of the Federal Reserve Bank, an accounting and finance seminar by Lawrence Singleton, PhD, CPA, of George Washington University, a workshop by writing coach Ken O'Quinn and charity events.
