Nix, Patterson & Roach and Milberg Weiss Announce the Proposed $3.6 Million Cash Settlement of a Class Action Lawsuit against Rent-a-Center, Inc. and Certain of Its Officers and Directors

NEW YORK -- In the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Texas, Texarkana Division, in Walker v. Rent-A-Center, Inc., et al., Case No. 5:02cv3 (DF), a summary notice has been issued as follows:

To participate in the Settlement, you must submit a Proof of Claim no later than March 7, 2008. If you are a Class Member and do not exclude yourself from the Class, you will be bound by the Order and Final Judgment of the Court. To exclude yourself from the Class, you must submit a request for exclusion postmarked no later than January 21, 2008. Any objections to the Settlement must be filed by January 21, 2008. If you are a Class Member and do not submit a proper Proof of Claim, you will not share in the Settlement but you nevertheless will be bound by the Order and Final Judgment of the Court.
