Sypherlink Strikes Strategic Partnership with Polytechnic University, Opens NYC Office

Business Wire, Nov 30, 2007

DUBLIN, Ohio & NEW YORK -- Sypherlink, Inc., the information-management-software company with patented automated mapping and rapid virtualization software, has entered into a strategic partnership with Polytechnic University, expanding its operations to New York City.

"Through a marketing and technical development partnership with Polytechnic University's Brooklyn Enterprise Science & Technology (BEST) Center, we can more quickly roll out our data-sharing and data-integration solutions to the large and globally oriented businesses and government agencies in New York," said Sypherlink CEO James Paat, noting that the company has opened an office at Polytechnic University's MetroTech campus.

"We see this as a perfect marriage of institution and company, technology and market," said BEST director of business development, Bruce Niswander. "Polytechnic University is spurring the technology entrepreneurial revolution in Downtown Brooklyn and in New York City. Besides making low-cost facilities and an array of business services available to Sypherlink, and other companies, as well, BEST provides high-quality technical and marketing support, and a great pool of resources with Polytechnic's highly trained faculty and tech-savvy students."

"We are gaining entry to the best market in the world," said Paat. "And it is gratifying to know that the income BEST derives from Sypherlink will be reinvested in small technology start-up companies born in Polytechnic's BEST Center."

"It is a real win-win situation," said Niswander, who noted that BEST marked its third anniversary last month. "Being a strategic partner in Sypherlink's product development and commercial expansion gives us the opportunity to show how a university can turn technology innovation into an economic engine with students and faculty competing in - and building - New York's rapidly expanding Silicon Alley."

About Sypherlink, Inc.
