Avnet Electronics Marketing Named Distributor of the Year by Tyco Electronics

PHOENIX -- Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas, part of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), has been named Distributor of the Year by Tyco Electronics Ltd. (NYSE: TEL).

Avnet was selected to receive the award based on its performance during Tyco Electronics' fiscal 2007 calendar year, which ended in September.
