InFocus Introduces Three New Projectors with BrilliantColor™
Business Wire, Nov 5, 2007
Offering Up to 50% Brighter Colors and a New WXGA Resolution Format
WILSONVILLE, Ore. -- InFocus Corporation (NASDAQ:INFS), the industry pioneer in digital projection technology, today adds three new projectors to their comprehensive line up of meeting and conference room solutions: the Work Big IN35, IN35W and IN37. All three InFocus projectors are based on advanced DLP[R] technology from Texas Instruments[TM] and feature the highly anticipated BrilliantColor[TM] technology, providing multi-color processing to enhance and increase color performance on the screen.
"We are very excited about the announcement of our newest platform of DLP[R] Projectors featuring BrilliantColor[TM] technology," commented David Woolf, Senior Director of Product Management at InFocus. "The IN35, IN35W and IN37 set the standard for power, performance and image quality that future conference and meeting room projectors will be measured against," Woolf concluded.
BrilliantColor[TM] Technology: Up to 50% Brighter Colors
For years, digital projectors have utilized the same color technology based on a color gamut defined by three primary colors -- red, green and blue. But now, with new BrilliantColor[TM] technology, the InFocus IN35, IN35W and IN37 DLP[R] Projectors process as many as six separate colors - red , green, blue, yellow, cyan and white. The result is a stunning screen image that features up to a 50% improvement in color brightness. This new InFocus projector lineup starts at 2500 ANSI lumens for the IN35 and IN35W and increases to 3000 ANSI lumens for the IN37. The IN35 and IN37 feature a native XGA (1024 x 768) resolution, with the IN35W offering a new WXGA (1280 x 800) wide resolution format. These three new 5lb, portable projectors provide a very crisp 1400:1 contrast ratio as well as a host of enhanced connectivity options to give business professionals what they have been asking for and something audiences everywhere will appreciate.
Widen Your Horizons: New InFocus WXGA Projector
According to current industry data, more than 75% of laptops and notebooks manufactured today are shipping with a native Wide XGA (1280 x 800) resolution or higher. InFocus has answered with the new Work Big IN35W featuring BrilliantColor[TM] technology and native WXGA resolution, with support for HD 720p resolution without the need for scaling and the capability of presenting up to UXGA (1600 x 1200) resolution. The IN35W takes advantage of a 16:10 aspect ratio, which gives presenters the ability to fit their entire notebook or laptop image onto the screen, explore websites without side-to-side navigation and view high definition multimedia content as it was originally intended to be displayed. For discerning presenters, the IN35W DLP[R] Projector featuring BrilliantColor[TM] technology, and boasting a native WXGA resolution, offers a vast improvement in communications and presentation impact from previous generation digital projectors.
Image Clarity & Power: Reap the Rewards
All three InFocus projectors have a formidable formula: the reliability of DLP[R] with BrilliantColor[TM] technology, competitive pricing, standard 2-year product and 6-month lamp warranty and the renowned quality you come to expect from InFocus. Like their predecessors, this new platform of InFocus projectors offer seamless image adjustment, extreme vertical and horizontal keystone correction, enhanced connectivity, a filter-free design for 24-hour operation compatibility and one of the industry's easiest to use menu systems and keypads. The new InFocus IN35, IN35W and IN37 DLP[R] Projectors featuring BrilliantColor[TM] technology provide the highest quality and most versatile set of features to fit even the most challenging presentation environment.
