Global Investment House Arcapita Selects Alloptic's GEPON Solution for New Headquarters Communications Infrastructure
Business Wire, Nov 6, 2007
LIVERMORE, Calif. -- Alloptic, Inc., a global leader in the design and development of Passive Optical Networks (PONs), announced that Arcapita, a leading global investment house, will deploy Alloptic's GEPON solution as its enterprise communications infrastructure within their new corporate headquarters. The facility, scheduled for completion in 2009, is being constructed in the new development of Bahrain Bay in Manama, Bahrain.
With investors and investments around the world, Arcapita's network requirements are particularly demanding. Arcapita chose the Alloptic PON system for the flexibility it offers in configuring and operating their enterprise-wide network, as well as for its reputation for reliability and security. The Alloptic infrastructure allows Arcapita to migrate all of its IT services - VoIP, building management services (BMS), data communications, and operations - onto a single network, which simplifies support requirements and operating expenses dramatically.
Alloptic is an industry leader in the development and deployment of PON technology. Alloptic's access network systems are deployed around the world and are the only solution with years of field-hardened operational history. Alloptic offers the widest portfolio of products for fiber access networks.
"Increasingly, large institutions are demanding that the enterprise network must be as robust, reliable, and cost-effective as the traditional service provider network," said Ric Johnsen, CEO of Alloptic. "Alloptic's system is an ideal choice for any enterprise that requires carrier-grade service from their network."
