Business Wire, Nov 6, 2007
PHOENIX -- Avnet Electronics Marketing, an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE: AVT), accepted the Special Collaboration Award from Cisco at the company's 16th Annual Supplier Appreciation Event in Santa Clara, California. The award recognizes suppliers that have exceeded Cisco's expectations in implementing a new program, process, or initiative.
Avnet was chosen for this award based on its consistent, focused efforts to create the tools and reports needed to help Cisco and its manufacturing partners achieve new levels of efficiency in managing inventory on a global basis.
"Working very diligently with Cisco and our contract manufacturing partners, Avnet set the bar in terms of proactive, solutions-oriented service delivery," said Terri Bozzuto, commodity manager of Global Supply Management for Cisco. "We are very pleased to be able to honor them with this award."
Avnet's Harley Feldberg, president of Avnet Electronics Marketing; Greg Frazier, executive vice president, Supply Chain Services; and Barbara Paulsen, global business manager, accepted the award on the company's behalf.
"Avnet's hubbing capabilities have really enhanced our communication and reporting efforts with Cisco and across the board. Through our global partnerships, we can deliver whatever products our customers need, wherever they need them - and we have the supply chain capabilities to back them up no matter where they are in the world," said Paulsen. "We are committed to continue growing our collaborative efforts with Cisco and the supply chain network as a whole, and look forward to an even better year in 2008."
