Telematics and Navigation Expert Dominique Bonte Joins ABI Research

NEW YORK -- ABI Research announces the appointment of Dominique Bonte as Principal Analyst, Telematics and Navigation. As part of the firm's telematics and automotive group, Bonte's coverage will focus on telematics and navigation coverage in European markets.
"Dominique's broad experience in handset-based software applications, and his understanding of global Location Aware Services will help the ABI Research team not just in Europe, but worldwide," says Mike Ippoliti, Research Director, Telematics & Automotive. "His enthusiasm for the technologies, plus his real-world business knowledge, make him an ideal addition to our growing Telematics & Automotive practice."
Dominique's prior telecommunication and mobile device applications experience provides a solid foundation for his understanding of European markets. Before joining ABI Research, he worked for Orange and BT in Belgium, and held a variety of positions at consumer/industrial technology companies, assuming roles in product management and market research and intelligence. He later started his own company in software consulting for mobile devices, where he acquired extensive experience in mobile satellite navigation software.
He will be based in Brussels, and will liaise closely with ABI Research's regional European headquarters in London.
Dominique holds an MS in electronics engineering at the University of Leuven, and has earned several marketing and business degrees.
