Four Points Guests & Staff Spread Halloween Happiness to Local Kids In Need of a Smile by Donating New Costumes

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. -- This Halloween, Four Points by Sheraton properties across the country will unveil their First Annual Four Points by Sheraton Halloween Costume Drive. From October 8th to the 28th, participating Four Points' hotels will house "costume closets" where guests, hotel staff and the community can drop off new costumes to be donated to local children's hospitals. An innovative twist on the popular Christmas toy drive, the Halloween Costume Drive will be the first of its kind in the hotel industry and will tap into the Four Points commitment to spreading the word of Simple Pleasures(SM) and the brand's core values of fun, giving comfort and making people smile.

Who says gift-giving is only for birthdays and winter holidays? This year Four Points makes autumn the giving season as their First Annual Four Points by Sheraton Halloween Costume Drive takes hold in hotels across the country. With voluntourism the fastest growing segment of the global travel industry, the brand recognized a need to offer guests, hotel staff and the community the chance to make a difference by giving to children in need. All Halloween gear donated will be delivered to smiling youngsters on October 29th, with a message that do-gooding and fun go hand in hand! Four Points anticipates the Halloween Costume Drive will give both employees and guests the ability to participate in an event that delivers fun beyond the hotel and into the community.

"Through our first-ever Halloween Costume Drive, we are emphasizing the brand's commitment to making a difference in our local communities," said Sandy Swider, vice president for Four Points by Sheraton. "The Costume Drive underscores our brand's belief of the Simple Pleasures in life like the smile of a child on Halloween."

Dozens of North American Four Points Hotels and Starwood Corporate offices will collect costumes to bring to their local children's hospitals. The entire brand has gotten so excited about this project that properties from Halifax, Ontario, Chicago, IL to Knoxville, TN will be doing their part as well as Starwood's corporate offices in White Plains, NY, Phoenix, AZ and Atlanta, GA who have also jumped on board to participate in the First Annual Four Points by Sheraton Halloween Costume drive.
