TAIPEI INVENT Wraps up Eureka Week!

TAIPEI, Taiwan -- TAIPEI INVENT 2007 (2007 Taipei Int'l Invention Show & Technomart) wrapped up four days of wonder & eureka (I've found it!) on Sept. 30th. This rare venue opened a fresh dimension in a new realm with hundreds of inventions staged before 50,000 visitors. Scouting the show were buyers from nations as diverse as Japan, Canada, Germany, Korea, Malaysia, USA, Spain, South Africa, and Australia etc. who came to source and buy.

To make it happen the best brains from the sharpest organizations in Taiwan worked months to network the inventing world. Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Ministry of National Defense (MND), Ministry of Education, Executive Yuan's National Science Council (NSC), and Council of Agriculture (COA) organized exhibitions. Its planning was done by the Intellectual Property Office (IPO) at Ministry of Economic Affairs (MOEA), Industrial Development Bureau (IDB), Department of Industrial Technology (DOIT), Small and Medium Enterprise Administration (SMEA), Bureau of Energy (BOE), and State-Owned Enterprise Commission (SOEC) of the Ministry of Economic Affairs.

The hands-on exhibition work was done by TAITRA (Taiwan External Trade Development Council), ITRI (Industrial Technology Research Institute of Taiwan), and the Taiwan Technology Marketplace (TWTM) Service Center. Some 600 inventors, entrepreneurs, government researchers and developers participated, using 866 booths and displaying over 1000 inventions. The venue was packed with visitors and strong interest and enthusiasm.

Foreign Buyer Turnout Soars by 15%

The number of foreigner buyers soared 15% over the previous 2006 show. In addition, the media from Germany and Australia strongly applauded the fact that this exhibition was able to provide abundant business opportunities.

TAIPEI INVENT 2007 profiled inventions, technologies and patented products from every facet of industry. Most creations were shown in three of the exhibition areas of "Inventive Competition," "Technology Marketplace" and "National Invention Award Winner."

It was here where more than 400 invention groups and individuals used 544 booths in the "Taiwan Invention Products and Foreign Invention Products Pavilion" to display a variety of creative and practical products that "wowed" everyone from aspiring Edisons to corporate representatives.
