Broadband Services Router Enables High-Performance, Secure Internet Access for Thousands of Subscribers
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Juniper Networks, Inc. (NASDAQ:JNPR), the leader in high-performance networking, today announced that Netia, Poland's largest alternate telecommunications operator, has deployed the E320 Broadband Services Router (BSR) as the basis of its national broadband services rollout. Netia has selected the E320 to enable the efficient aggregation of subscribers accessing the network over a wide range of technologies including ADSL, Bit Stream and WiMax.
"The Juniper Networks solution provides an immediate increase in capacity that enables us to extend broadband services to thousands of new customers, regardless of their chosen access method," said Leszel Kusal, Netia's head of the network planning department. "The E320 BSR also provides us with the high performance, reliability and flexibility required to drive service and revenue growth and to retain subscribers for the long term."
The Juniper Networks E320 is a very high capacity broadband services router and is designed to address the unique requirements of service provider multiplay services. The E320 BSR efficiently aggregates broadband subscribers over high density Gigabit Ethernet and 10 Gigabit Ethernet interfaces, enabling service providers to effectively deliver high bandwidth multiplay services at carrier scale.
"Like many service providers today, Netia needed to upgrade network capacity to meet growing service demand, and also wanted a high-performance solution that will enable them to quickly and efficiently introduce new services in the future," said Gert-Jan Schenk, senior vice president of operations EMEA, Juniper Networks. "By selecting Juniper Networks E320 BSR, Netia will be able to meet subscriber demand now and well into the future, and will have a flexible platform from which they can easily introduce new services."
