Ballard Spahr Grows Its Los Angeles Office with the Addition of Three Attorneys

PHILADELPHIA & LOS ANGELES -- Ballard Spahr Andrews & Ingersoll, LLP announced today the addition of Associates Gene A. Coppa and Christine Kim and Staff Attorney Susanne M. MacIntosh to the firm's Real Estate and Resort and Hotel practice in Los Angeles.
The new attorneys bring the total number of lawyers working in Los Angeles to seven since Ballard opened its first West Coast office in early September.

A member of the Resort and Hotel, Real Estate Finance, Real Estate Development and Planned Condominium Groups, Coppa focuses his practice in the resort and condominium development and real estate finance sectors. His expertise includes undivided interest and cooperative formation, fractional ownership plans, state and federal filings, advertising and real estate development registration. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the State Bar of California, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Ventura County Bar Association. He is admitted into the U.S. Court of Appeals, Ninth Circuit and the U.S. District Court Eastern, Northern, Southern and Central Districts of California.
Coppa holds a B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles and received his J.D. from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Law.
Kim practices in the Real Estate and Resort and Hotel sectors and is a member of the Resort and Hotel Group. She graduated cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science and a minor in English from the University of California, Los Angeles. Kim holds a J.D. from the Georgetown University Law Center where she interned with the Center for Applied Legal Studies asylum clinic.
MacIntosh concentrates her practice in general real estate law with a focus in commercial loan transactions. Her experience includes loans secured by real property and purchase and sale transactions, including drafting and negotiating documents,, conducting due diligence and coordinating closings. She obtained her B.A. in Government with a minor in Humanities from Scripps College and received her J.D., cum laude from the Northwestern University School of Law, where she was a member of the Journal of Criminal Law and Criminology.
