Kyocera Opens New Reseller Channel, SYNNEX Expands Managed Print Services Offerings With New Kyocera EcoPro Printer Line
FAIRFIELD, N.J. -- Kyocera Mita America, Inc., one of the world's leading document solutions companies, today announced that it has entered into a strategic distribution agreement with SYNNEX Corporation, a leading business process services company, to launch a new channel program called EcoPro Plus. The EcoPro Plus program, essentially a managed print services market approach complete with hosted services and new printer platforms, will provide resellers and their end-users with a more cost-effective and reliable printing solution.
The managed print services solution is fast emerging as a new consultative sales approach designed to benefit both the end-user and reseller through better ROI and efficiencies. According to IDC's Keith Kmetz, vice president, Hardcopy Peripherals Solutions and Services, "Nearly half of US companies do not track distributed print running costs, and only a third believe they have a good understanding of their distributed print related costs. This is due in large part because many companies do not capture all the components of total cost of ownership." EcoPro Plus offers resellers significant opportunities to evolve their business model by implementing a seamless managed print services solution.
"We recognize the growing market demand for a solution that enables printer resellers to create a competitive advantage within a commoditized sector," said Michael Pietrunti, president and CEO, Kyocera Mita America. "EcoPro Plus gives resellers an engagement model that shifts their value proposition from sales representative to a trusted company advisor, while it also gives end-users opportunities to realize unprecedented savings."
EcoPro Plus will include: a new line of EcoPro monochrome and color printers that are; exclusive to authorized Kyocera EcoPro resellers, as well as automated technical and field sales support, training, supplies and services. SYNNEX Corporation supports the EcoPro Plus program through utilization of its PRINTSolv[TM] platform that tracks and manages device usage, page volumes, toner levels and service needs during the lifetime of an end-user's output device.
"The addition of the Kyocera product line represents a natural fit with our PRINTSolv strategy and offering", said Bob Stegner, Senior Vice President, Marketing, North America at SYNNEX Corporation. "We are delighted to be partnering with Kyocera and look forward to the opportunity to expand our relationship."
