Innovative Hands-Free Mobile Car Product from Winplus Debuts on Amazon.com
Business Wire, Oct 30, 2007
World's Largest Internet Retailer to Offer the YD-V1 Yada Hands Free for $49.99
LAS VEGAS -- Winplus, a global manufacturer of automotive products, announced today at the Automotive Aftermarket Products Expo (AAPEX) that the first product in its new Yada Collection of hands-free mobile products for the automobile is now available to consumers everywhere on Amazon.com for $49.99. The YD-V1 Yada Hands Free, which was unveiled last week at CTIA in San Francisco, is the industry's first lightweight, all-in-one universal handset holder with a Bluetooth headset, car charger and both a dashboard and air vent mounting attachment.
Leveraging Bluetooth technology, the YD-V1 allows drivers to be safe and stay connected, placing and receiving calls hands free, while remaining in accordance with the law. With more than 38 states that have recently passed laws governing cell phone use in vehicles and others with legislation pending or under consideration, hands-free devices are increasingly important for consumers' safety and convenience.
"We designed the YD-V1 to be accessible for the everyday consumer who is looking for a hands-free solution in the car," said Dan Sheehan, founder and CEO of Winplus. "With a price point of $49.99 and a design that is sleek and easy to use, the product is ideal for the first time Bluetooth user to both drive safely and stay connected."
The YD-V1 comes with a phone holder and adjusts to fit any mobile device. The Bluetooth headset combo stays charged when mounted in the holder by plugging into the car's 12V cigarette lighter or power port. The device also automatically powers on and connects to the mobile phone once the engine starts. Equipped with the latest Bluetooth 2.0 technology, the headset answers incoming calls when removed from the charging cradle and ends the call when placed back on the cradle. It also turns off when the handset is not being charged and when a Bluetooth connection has not been established for more than an hour.
