Xirrus Partners with RDT Systems to Deliver High Performance Wi-Fi Network at VON Israel
Business Wire, Oct 30, 2007
WESTLAKE VILLAGE, Calif. -- Xirrus, Inc., the leading provider of high-performance, long-range Wi-Fi products, partnered with RDT Systems to successfully deliver high performance Wi-Fi coverage throughout the VON Israel conference held October 14-15th in Tel Aviv, Israel. The Xirrus Wi-Fi network successfully supported voice, video and data applications for the 12,000 attendees, exhibitors, and media personnel using 83% fewer devices than a network deployed using a competitive solution.
"VON Israel needed a Wi-Fi network powerful enough to support the entire conference while using the fewest devices," said Victor Dembovsky, vice president, sales communication division of RDT Systems. "One of the Xirrus Wi-Fi Arrays replaced six legacy access points which is a testament to the power and simplicity of the Xirrus architecture."
"Here is yet another real world example how Xirrus can deliver a more powerful Wi-Fi network with far fewer devices than other vendors," said Vladimir Urayev, regional manager at Xirrus. "We had a couple of hundred voice, video, and data users associated to a single Array with bandwidth to spare."
