Business Wire, Oct 31, 2007
DELRAY BEACH, Fla. & WATERBURY, Vt. -- Office Depot (NYSE:ODP), a leading global provider of office products and services, today announced a new Office Depot Coffee Service that offers its small, medium and large business customers the gold standard in gourmet coffee brewing as well as replenishment services. The service provides delivery and installation of Keurig[R] Single-Cup Coffee Brewers and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters coffee in K-Cup[R] portion packs. The Office Depot Coffee Service is currently available nationwide through Office Depot's North American Business Solutions Division, which provides office products and services directly to businesses.
The combination of Keurig, a pioneer and leading manufacturer of single-cup brewing systems, and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters' award-winning coffees, gives Office Depot a high quality coffee solution for offices of all sizes. The Keurig single-cup system brews one cup of gourmet coffee, tea or hot cocoa in less than 60 seconds, without the mess and cleanup of traditional machines. The brewer and K-Cup cartridge control all of the brewing variables to ensure a consistent and fresh "coffee-house" taste with every cup. Office Depot customers have over 30 varieties of Green Mountain Coffee Roasters K-Cup cartridges to choose from, including Extra Bold coffees, Celestial Seasonings[R] teas and hot cocoa.
"This new service offering is more than just delivering coffee - it's about providing a total solution to the business customer," said Steve Schmidt, President of Office Depot's North American Business Solutions Division. "From core supplies and technology to office furniture and now our new coffee service, Office Depot is providing businesses with the tools and services that help them to succeed."
As part of the new service, Office Depot will deploy an installation team to a business location to deliver the coffee unit, connect the brewing system to an existing water line, and supply the coffee. A filtration system is included with installation to ensure water entering the unit is purified for the freshest taste.
"We're excited to partner with Office Depot to promote the quality and convenience of single-cup brewing technology," said Jim Travis, Vice President of Sales, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters. "With Keurig's state-of-the-art brewing systems and Green Mountain Coffee Roasters' finely crafted coffees, we are transforming the office coffee experience for Office Depot customers."
Businesses have several options when it comes to receiving the service, including the option to purchase a brewing system for as little as $1.
