Business Wire, Oct 31, 2007

MCLEAN, Va. & SHANGHAI, China -- BearingPoint, Inc. (NYSE:BE), one of the world's largest management and technology consulting firms, announced today that BearingPoint China has been recognized by the China Enterprise Confederation (CEC) and the International Council of Management Consulting Institutes (ICMCI) as one of the "Top 10 Most Trusted Management Consulting Firms" in China.

CEC is a non-governmental organization representing businesses throughout China. It has approximately 436,000 members representing 34 industries in 30 provinces. ICMCI is the global association of national management consulting institutes from around the world.

Ron Machan, CEO and chairman of BearingPoint China, was presented with the award on Oct. 28 from Chen LanTong, executive vice chairman of CEC, during the 5th Management Consulting Summit in Beijing. CEC selected the Top 10 companies through a strict and open process, including client referrals, expert evaluation, online voting and on-site balloting.

"BearingPoint won this award due to its remarkable achievements and a number of successful projects in China," said Chen. "Clients give very high marks to their results, approach and people."

"We are honored to be recognized by CEC as a Top 10 company," said Machan. "This select recognition underscores our commitment to continually bring sustainable value to our clients by providing high-quality professional services and helping them achieve their business objectives."

In 2005, BearingPoint was honored with the only "Special Award for Distinguished Devotion in Management Consulting" by CEC and the ICMCI during the 4th Management Consulting Summit.

BearingPoint entered into the China market in late 2001, and is headquartered in Shanghai, with a branch in Beijing. It has more than 1,000 employees providing professional services for three key industries with seven solutions and the cutting-edge global development center (GDC).
