MedQuist Becomes Current in SEC Filings

MT. LAUREL, N.J. -- MedQuist Inc. (Pink Sheets: MEDQ.PK) today filed its Quarterly Reports on Form 10-Q for the first two fiscal quarters of 2007 with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The filings can be found on the SEC's website at http://www.sec.gov or on MedQuist's website at http://www.medquist.com. Upon filing these two reports with the SEC, the Company became current in its filings with the SEC for the first time since the filing of its Form 10-Q for the third quarter of 2003. "Becoming current in our filings with the SEC is a major accomplishment for MedQuist and is yet another milestone in our continued progress," said MedQuist President and CEO Howard S. Hoffmann. "I am very proud of our team for their tireless effort in completing and filing 18 quarters of financial reporting (including annual financial statements for 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006) over a three month period.
