Veramark Call Accounting and Enterprise Telemanagement Software Complement Avaya IP Telephony Solutions
TEMPE, Ariz. -- Avnet Technology Solutions, a value-added distributor of enterprise computing products, embedded subsystems, software and services, and an operating group of Avnet, Inc. (NYSE:AVT), today announced a U.S. distribution agreement with Veramark Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:VERA), a leading manufacturer of call accounting and enterprise telemanagement solutions. Veramark's broad range of telecommunications cost management systems complement communications applications, hardware, software and services currently available from Avnet, such as Avaya IP telephony solutions.
"Avnet is building our IP telephony solutions for channel partners by selecting technology vendors based on their ability to work across multiple platforms, and support a wide variety of market segments," said Jack Morris, vice president, Avnet Technology Solutions, Americas, Technology & Market Solutions group. "Veramark's innovative telecommunications applications have set the industry standard for call accounting software, and serve both the SMB and enterprise space. Avnet's partners will be able to offer their customers an IP telephony solution that not only reduces their costs, but also improves security, increases their telecommunications capabilities and enhances productivity."
Veramark produces a broad range of telecommunications cost management systems for users of IP-based and circuit-switched private branch exchange (PBX) networks. Its web-based telecommunications software is designed for ease of use and features extensive reporting tools that enable businesses to reduce telecommunications costs. By combining Veramark's technology with Avaya's IP telephony solutions, Avnet is providing a wider opportunity for its partners to increase their telecomunications sales. The unique combination of communications applications, hardware, software and services can help companies simplify complex communications and work with existing technologies from other vendors, enabling customers to unlock the value and potential of their networks.
"By embedding communications into the business processes of an enterprise, Avnet's partners can help their customers improve productivity and reduce telecommunications costs," said Patrick Ryan, vice president of sales at Veramark Technologies, Inc. "Avnet's strength in cross-platform solutions supports Veramark's goal of offering our products as a part of a complete IP telephony solution. Their channel partners are experts in telephony market, and know how to solve complex business problems with innovative technology solutions."
Veramark's technology will be supported by Avnet's Technology & Market Solutions group, which is chartered with developing new high-growth opportunities for Avnet's partners. The program is a foundational element of Avnet's strategy to assist and enable partners to develop new solution practices, which accelerate their time to profits while minimizing risks and costs.
"We look at the IP telephony market as an opportunity for exponential growth for our business," said David Meier, vice president of sales, vTechnologies, Inc.
