Business Wire, Sept 10, 2007

Emmy Award Winning Documentary Filmmaker Kicks off New Assignment with Powerful Story of Moroccan Terrorists This Tuesday, September 11, 2007

DALLAS -- HDNet World Report introduces a new international correspondent this Tuesday, September 11 at 9:00 p.m. ET. Michael Davie brings viewers to the back streets and slums of Casablanca and Tetuoan, Morocco, where dozens of suicide bombers live within blocks of one another.

Morocco, a moderate Muslim nation and an ally of the west, has nonetheless produced an inordinate number of suicide bombers. In this segment, Davie speaks to the brother of one of those bombers in a revealing interview.

"It's time to tell all western people to convert to Islam," a young Moroccan man tells Davie. "There is only one religion. Islam. It's the only one religion."

A clip from the story entitled "Heart of Darkness" can be found at the following link:

Michael Davie brings his global perspective of world events to HDNet, along with his passion to tell the difficult stories. He has covered world news for other national networks such as National Geographic, MSNBC and NBC Nightly News.

His segment on Morocco will also be part of a new program format introduced by World Report. The program's unique new format will feature an emphasis on international news, in which stories from a specific country will take center stage each week.

HDNet World Report airs every Tuesday on HDNet at 9:00 p.m. ET with an additional airing at 12:00 a.m. ET to accommodate West Coast Prime Time.
