Firstrade Agreement with Trend Micro to Offer Free Online Protection to Firstrade Customers

QUEENS, N.Y. -- Firstrade Securities Inc., a top-ranked online brokerage, announced today an agreement with Trend Micro Incorporated, a leader in network antivirus and Internet content software and services, to provide the Trend Micro[TM] AntiVirus plus AntiSpyware 2007 package free to all of the brokerage's customers. The product stops viruses, worms and Trojan horse programs; blocks and removes spyware; and automatically downloads the latest updates.
Recently, there have been many published reports of online account intrusions, spyware attacks, and occurrences of identity theft, among the many types of online threats faced by consumers. These threats have become more and more sophisticated and are driven by financial incentives. Many Internet users lack protection from online threats and Firstrade is determined to provide the necessary tools to mitigate these threats for its customers.

Through the agreement with Trend Micro, Firstrade customers will be able to receive the software and ongoing updates at no charge for one year. The software will be available to all Firstrade customers, regardless of the size of their accounts or the number of trades made. Customers will just need to log into their Firstrade accounts and visit Firstrade's Security Center to download the free Trend Micro software.
