U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to Use New Reservation System for Park Facilities
Business Wire, Sept 11, 2007
FORT WORTH, Texas -- The National Recreation Reservation Service (NRRS) for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and U.S. Department of Agriculture Forest Service facilities will not be available from Sept. 30 through Oct. 17. Campgrounds and recreation facilities managed by the Corps and the Forest Service will be converted to a new reservation software system this fall. Due to this conversion, reservation services will not be available for Corps or Forest Service facilities beginning at midnight Eastern Standard Time Sept. 30 through 10:00 a.m. EDT Oct. 17. This means that reservations, changes or cancellations will not be available through the call center or Internet (Recreation.gov) during this time. Reservations will resume at 10:00 a.m. EDT on Oct. 17 for both the call center and the NRRS website at www.Recreation.gov.
Effective Oct. 17, the "advanced booking window" for all Corps and Forest Service facilities in the NRRS will change to a 6-month rolling window for individual family sites and cabins; group facilities will be on a 12-month rolling window. Please make note of this important change in the advanced reservation booking window.
Remember, reservations will not be available from midnight EDT Sept. 30 until 10:00 a.m. EDT Oct. 17. For additional information on the NRRS[TM] and the services it offers, please go to www.Recreation.gov.
