NCH Corporation Selects The WERCS® As Global MSDS Authoring Solution

ALBANY, N.Y. -- The Wercs, Ltd., the global software and services leader in the authoring, management and distribution of material safety data sheet (MSDS) and hazard communication documents, announced today that NCH Corporation (NCH) has chosen The WERCS[R] as its global MSDS authoring solution.

NCH manufactures maintenance, repair and supply products in more than 55 countries worldwide. These products include chemical specialties, fasteners, welding alloys and plumbing parts. Based in Irving, Texas, the company has more than 6,000 employees globally.

The WERCS will replace several of NCH's existing regional and global legacy systems. Through integration with its Oracle ERP suite, The WERCS will become the standard for authoring MSDSs across all global business units. NCH will also leverage The WERCS' Globally Harmonized System and EU Modules to advance worldwide regulatory compliance.

NCH selected The WERCS after an extensive review of all top-tier MSDS authoring solution providers. The decision to implement The WERCS was based on an extensive feasibility study and pre-project planning driven by NCH's newly established Program Management Office (PMO).

The PMO heads up NCH's MSDS Generation Project and enforces the consistent and disciplined management of IT projects. The Wercs will communicate and coordinate closely with the PMO and provide global hazard communication expertise to fulfill customers' requirements.

According to Len Brown, director of the PMO, the outcome of this project management strategy will be an efficient, well-run project with no surprises and satisfied customers.
