Business Wire, Sept 12, 2007
Proprietary Products, Advanced Certification and Enhanced Facility Serve as Backdrop for Advanced Materials, Inc.'s Continued Evolution
DALLAS -- Advanced Materials, Inc. (Pink Sheets:ADMG) a leading developer and manufacturer of medical, consumer and industrial products, today announced that it is on schedule to meet its milestones for the company's three-tiered growth plan. Advanced Materials, Inc.'s three-tiered growth plan includes the introduction of proprietary and patented products, ISO 13845 certification, and enhancements to the company's existing manufacturing facility.
Advanced Materials, Inc. Proprietary and Patented Products
Advanced Materials is ahead of schedule in its transition from manufacturing custom applications to now also offering proprietary and patented products. Advanced Materials, Inc. has successfully deployed its first proprietary product for consumers, Nundies([R]), a one-time use, pantyless panty that adheres to the inside crotch of a woman's pants. During the past year, Nundies have made their way into 205 retail stores, with 68 new stores in the Northwest and Southeast now carrying Nundies in just the last month. Strong consumer demand for Nundies is driving new retail relationships and reorders from existing retailers interested in working with AMI.
Nundies are the first of several proprietary products Advanced Materials, Inc. plans to bring to market in the near future.
Advanced Materials, Inc. ISO 13485 Certification
In addition to Advanced Materials recent product advancements, the company has also achieved ISO 13485 certification, which signifies the positive assessment of the company's medical device quality system. The ISO 13485 is an International Organization for Standardization standard that represents the requirements for a comprehensive management system for the design and manufacture of medical devices. This certification establishes Advanced Materials, Inc. as the only contract manufacturer of its kind to receive such recognition. The ISO 13485 certification also provides a significant opportunity for the company to increase growth and value by conquering the global market and bringing its products to the forefront of international recognition.
Advanced Materials, Inc. Manufacturing Facility
Due to the increased need for Advanced Materials, Inc.'s products, the company recently revamped its Rancho Dominguez, California manufacturing facility to ensure the company could meet greater customer demand. The facility which serves as the backdrop for all of Advanced Materials, Inc.'s manufacturing and innovation efforts, recently benefited from the following improvements:
* Facility equipment was upgraded with a 100 ton hydraulic press, a rewind/slitter, and a rotary die cutter.
* Facility increased the size of its Contained Manufacturing Environment.
"Advanced Materials, Inc. is proud of its rich heritage and fifty years of experience in delivering products to meet customer specifications," said William Mortensen, President and CFO of Advanced Materials, Inc. "Today, we continue to embrace that heritage but also look to the future for Advanced Materials, Inc., a future which is today.
