Attachmate Offers Best Practices in Service-Enabling CICS Applications Webcast

Business Wire, Sept 13, 2007

SEATTLE -- Attachmate Corporation:

WHAT: Attachmate Corporation will host the final session of its
"Unlocking Legacy Applications" webcast series, aimed at
helping organizations increase revenues and reduce costs by
re-using their legacy assets. This session,
"Service-Enabling CICS Applications: Best Practices," will
          highlight advanced technologies for high-performance
integration of CICS applications and discuss the best
techniques for cost-effective agile CICS application
          integration.

CICS is the most popular application operating environment
on the mainframe. However CICS is changing rapidly to keep
up with new business needs and professionals are struggling
to stay knowledgeable regarding the latest techniques used
to maximize the impact CICS can have on their mainframe
environment. In this session, Attachmate will leverage real
customer stories to answer questions about the invasiveness
of CICS services on the mainframe, MIPS usage, difficulties
in integration, and the IT skill-sets needed for managing
          these mainframe services.
