Charles Nelson Joins Kodiak Networks as Senior Vice President, Worldwide Sales and Customer Services

Former Velocita Wireless Executive to Lead Worldwide Sales and Customer Services

PLANO, Texas -- Kodiak Networks today announced that Charles Nelson, former president and CEO of Velocita Wireless, has joined the company as senior vice president, worldwide sales and customer services. Velocita was previously the Cingular Interactive business unit which was sold to affiliates of Cerberus Capital Management.

During his time with Cingular Interactive, Charles led unprecedented growth in the company's wireless data business, with network subscribers and revenues doubling on an annual basis over a five-year period. In addition, he developed, launched and executed a number of highly successful sales and marketing campaigns around industry vertical solutions including Cingular Messaging applications and the extremely popular BlackBerry wireless e-mail product.

Charles' career has spanned two decades and also includes sales management positions at Software AG, Falcon Microsystems and Xerox in the Document Systems and Printing Systems divisions. He holds a B.S. in Business Management from the University of South Carolina.
