Renaissance Imaging Medical Associates Joins Valley Presbyterian Hospital's Departments of Imaging Services
Business Wire, Sept 17, 2007
VAN NUYS, Calif. -- Renaissance Imaging Medical Associates (RIMA) is partnering with Vanowen Radiology beginning today to provide sub-specialized diagnostics for Valley Presbyterian Hospital's growing Departments of Imaging Services.
Renaissance Imaging Medical Associates, Inc. (RIMA) was founded in 1999 and has emerged as one of the leading forces in southern California radiology. Renaissance Imaging tailors its approach to provide radiological services where they are needed and in the form required. The large network of radiologists in the RIMA group have experience at hospitals, free standing imaging centers, large medical group clinics, and private medical group practices.
Steve Keller, director of Ancillary Services at Valley Presbyterian Hospital, said, "Valley Pres is very excited about the arrival of Renaissance Imaging. They will be a great asset to our facility as well as a benefit to our patients and community."
Renaissance's involvement at VPH will address the need for radiology expertise in virtually all subspecialties. Renaissance practices "distributed subspecialty radiology" along the lines typically seen in academic radiology departments. Under this model, the group provides real-time access to a location-independent team of sub-specialized radiologists who are available to evaluate images remotely utilizing digital Picture Archiving and Communication Systems (PACS) technology.
Valley Presbyterian Hospital President and Chief Executive Officer Albert L. Greene said Renaissance Imaging Medical Associates brings extensive expertise to VPH. "With the number of Renaissance radiologists joining the Valley Pres Departments of Imaging Services and with their cumulative knowledge, our patients surely will benefit," said Greene.
