Chinese 3PL Provider Selects HighJump Warehouse Management System
Business Wire, Sept 20, 2007
EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. -- HighJump Software, a 3M company, a global provider of supply chain execution solutions, today announced Chinese third-party logistics (3PL) provider Hongxun Logistics has selected the HighJump warehouse management system (WMS) to support its growing supply chain needs. Hongxun manages warehousing and logistics for many well-known manufacturers of mobile phones and related communication products in China. Key factors in the company's selection of the HighJump system included 3M's far-reaching presence in Asia, and HighJump Software's demonstrated experience in successfully managing the unique challenges of 3PL businesses.
Hongxun Logistics will replace its serial number and distribution management systems with the HighJump WMS. It will also leverage the flexibility of the system to integrate with material handling equipment, as well as the multitude of enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems its clients currently use.
"The HighJump warehouse management system will help us deliver on our promises to provide our clients with high levels of service at the lowest possible cost," said Simon Sun, information department manager, Hongxun Logistics. "Additionally, backing our supply chain with the 3M brand will bring added confidence to our clients."
"We're thrilled to add Hongxun Logistics to the growing list of 3PLs that are using HighJump Software to power their supply chains," said Jim Walsh, vice president of international operations, HighJump Software. "The HighJump system will help Hongxun Logistics consolidate its diverse operations to increase efficiency and visibility."
