Move Puts Executive in Charge of Global Sales and Marketing for World's Largest Privately Held Medical Device Manufacturer
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. -- Pete Yonkman, who currently serves as president of Cook Urological, has been named executive vice president of sales and marketing for Cook Group Incorporated effective immediately. The promotion gives Yonkman responsibility for guiding Cook's sales and marketing efforts globally for all eight of the company's strategic business units.
"Cook's business is growing rapidly around the world, and I am pleased we have someone with the vision, creativity and talent of Pete Yonkman to guide our sales and marketing efforts as we move forward," said Kem Hawkins, president of Cook Group Incorporated. "In an era when changing regulatory rules, reimbursement codes and market conditions can dramatically affect the ability of a medical company to take advantage of global sales opportunities, I'm confident that Pete has the experience and judgment to help us bring the benefits of Cook's advanced medical technologies to more patients in more markets than ever before."
"Cook has always placed enhancing patient care and improving patient outcomes as its highest business goals, and our sales and marketing efforts have always reflected those values no matter where we have applied them," Yonkman added. "That philosophy has worked extremely well for 44 years, and I see my role as safeguarding that heritage and ensuring that we adhere to those principles as we introduce new medical technologies and bring Cook products to markets where they've never before been available."
Yonkman joined Cook Incorporated in 2001 and was named president on Cook Urological Inc. in August 2005.
