Industry Executive Ray Parker Joins Scan-Optics Management Team

MANCHESTER, Conn. -- Scan-Optics, LLC, an internationally acknowledged innovator and provider of information capture and recognition solutions, today announced that Ray Parker has joined Scan Optics as Executive Vice President, Sales and Business Development. Mr. Parker is an Executive In Residence for Patriarch Partners and is assigned to lead Scan Optics' sales, marketing and alliance partnerships on a full time basis.

In discussing the announcement, Mr. Gideon Agar, Scan Optics CEO, stated, "Ray's addition to the Scan-Optics management team adds an executive with substantial experience in the areas where we will be focusing our growth and reflects Patriarch's continued focus and strong commitment to Scan Optics."

Mr. Parker has nearly 20 years of successful US and international operations, sales and marketing management leadership experience in the digital imaging, document management and BPO services industries. This includes five years in Europe with Pitney Bowes Management Services as President, International Operations. Prior to that, Ray held key positions with Danka Services International as VP, Sales and Operations North America; VP-General Manager at Kodak Imaging Services, Europe; VP New Technologies, Qualex, Inc., Kodak's photo-imaging subsidiary; and other senior positions with Eastman Kodak, based in Korea and South East Asia.

Ray earned an MBA at the University of Rochester's Simon School and an MA at Duquesne University. Ray is fully certified in Lean Six Sigma.
