American Tower Corporation Prices Senior Note Offering

BOSTON -- American Tower Corporation (NYSE: AMT) announced today that it has agreed to sell 7.0% senior unsecured notes due 2017 in an aggregate principal amount of $500.0 million through an institutional private placement. The Company had previously announced a proposed notes offering of $250.0 million aggregate principal amount and increased the size of the offering to $500.0 million based on market demand. The net proceeds to the Company of this offering are expected to be approximately $493.5 million. The closing of the offering is expected to occur on October 1, 2007 and is subject to customary closing conditions.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds from this offering, together with available cash, to repay all of the outstanding indebtedness incurred under the Company's new senior unsecured term loan credit facility. The Company will terminate the term loan upon repayment.
