About.com Appoints New Sales Staff

NEW YORK -- About.com, one of the 15 most visited Web sites in the U.S., announces the appointment of new sales staff to focus on the consumer packaged goods (CPG) and health categories. Kim Huey Steiner joins About.com as strategic sales director, CPG, and Michael Frick joins as strategic sales director, health.

Ms. Steiner brings almost 20 years of advertising sales experience to About.com. In her role as strategic sales director, CPG, Ms. Steiner will coordinate, manage and oversee all efforts related to About.com's strategic sales initiatives for the CPG category. She will also work with About.com's marketing team to offer insight into marketing campaign objectives and help to develop and implement product strategies for online ad programs.

Before joining About.com, Ms. Steiner was associate director, integrated sales & marketing, at Reader's Digest. While at Reader's Digest, Ms. Steiner created customized, cross-platform packages for clients such as Procter & Gamble, Kraft, Smucker's and Unilever. She has also held positions at Hearst Corporation, Time Inc. and Conde Nast Magazines.

As strategic sales director, health, Mr. Frick will coordinate, manage and oversee About.com's strategic sales initiatives for the health category. He will also help to develop and implement product strategies for online and offline ad programs within the health vertical.

Michael Frick comes to About.com with over 20 years of experience in the medical field. Previously, he held senior sales positions at ImpactRX and WebMD.
