Plantronics Selects Kaplan's Simulation Software for Oracle Training

Business Wire, Sept 25, 2007

-- Leading Headset Manufacturer to Use Kaplan's STT Trainer --

ATLANTA -- Plantronics, Inc. (NYSE:PLT), a leading headset manufacturer employing more than 6,000 people worldwide, has selected Kaplan's simulation and documentation software, STT Trainer, to train and support the Plantronics staff on Oracle CRM, Microsoft Office and their custom-built credit approval system.

"Plantronics has experienced rapid growth across the organization, and we needed to quickly train more and more employees on our internal systems," said Michel Blom, process and training manager at Plantronics. "Word documents and PowerPoint[R] slides no longer fit our needs. We needed to bring structure to the training and to make training easier to provide, and we believe that STT Trainer will allow us to do exactly that," says Blom.

With STT Trainer, Plantronics can rapidly generate customized software simulations and end-user documentation for use during and after classroom-based training. Says Blom, "Within a few days we had the first lessons live and running. The automatically created documentation from the STT Training tool has saved us hours."

Plantronics originally purchased STT Trainer for training on their Oracle system, but now uses it for Microsoft Office training and training on their custom document management system. Training is now ongoing resulting in higher retention rates. "I have already noticed the number of errors going down in both systems," concludes Blom.
