Anderson has held the position of Chief Technology Officer for a number of years. He led the technological development of location hardware, software, and devices. He also worked with TruePosition partners and customers to develop new wireless location solutions. At the end of 2007, TruePosition's Research and Development and Product Line Management Departments, which are widely considered the core value proposition of the company, were added to Anderson's responsibilities.
"For years, Rob Anderson has been providing leadership to TruePosition's product roadmap," noted Stephen Stuut, Chief Executive Officer for TruePosition. "Even though Rob is officially stepping into his new role, his immense influence and positive effect has already been felt throughout the company in several areas, including strategy, business development and regulatory affairs."
Anderson has more than 14 years of experience in the telecommunications industry, and is one of the leading global experts in wireless location technology. His proven experience in the field, exemplified by his 20 U.S. patents, helps to expand the company's portfolio of products and services and further establish TruePosition as a leader in wireless location.
Prior to joining TruePosition, Anderson held systems engineering positions at Lockheed Martin and TRW (now Northrop Grumman), focusing on satellite cellular systems. Rob Anderson graduated at the top of his class from Purdue University, where he earned both Bachelor of Science and Masters of Science Degrees in Electrical Engineering.
Frederic Beckley has been promoted to Executive Vice President of Business Development and General Counsel.
As General Counsel of TruePosition, Beckley has aggressively defended the Company's intellectual property through licensing and litigation. Most recently, TruePosition won a $45.3 million jury verdict against Andrew Corporation for willful infringement of a TruePosition patent involving contracts that Andrew Corporation entered into with a customer in Saudi Arabia. Beckley has also been instrumental in structuring and negotiating investments, acquisitions, and other transactions on behalf of the Company and its subsidiaries.
In his new role, Beckley will assume responsibility for the Company's Business Development, Standards, Regulatory and Public Affairs activities.
"Fred Beckley's forethought and leadership will continue to help us expand into new areas worldwide," stated Stuut. "With a larger organization and increased scope of activities, he now has the power and flexibility to lead our business development endeavors."
Beckley has nearly 20 years' experience in international telecommunications. Prior to TruePosition, he held various positions at Verizon Wireless and Bell Atlantic Corporation, where he served as General Counsel of Bell Atlantic New Zealand Holdings, Inc., Grupo Iusacell, S.A de C.V., and Bell Atlantic Professional Services, Inc. Beckley is a graduate of Yale Law School, Yale Divinity School, and the University of Pennsylvania.
Robert Morrison joined True position in May 2007 as Senior Vice President, Business Development and Program Management. His responsibilities were increased in July to include Sales and Marketing. With this promotion Robert's responsibilities now also include Customer Deployment Services, Professional Services and Customer Support.
"Robert Morrison brings a wealth of senior executive experience to TruePosition," noted Stuut. "With Robert's international experience and knowledge of systems integration, he has already brought a new focus on solution selling to TruePosition, which is needed for our success as we venture into new markets."
Morrison brings more than 25 years of experience in the telecommunications and IT industries to TruePosition. Prior to joining TruePosition, Morrison was head of business operations with Sprint Enterprise Mobility, a mobility-focused consulting and systems integration subsidiary of Sprint. Before joining Sprint, Morrison was with British Telecom, where he held key customer-facing roles in sales, business development, and business management, within their systems integration business, Syntegra. Morrison was a member of the executive team at Syntegra from 1998 to 2005, managing major operations in the UK, Germany and the United States. He studied at Queen's University in Belfast and holds a BA in Social Sciences.
