Attention Expectant and New Parents : the Green Power Baby Shower Expo is Coming to Seattle

First Annual Event to Feature Eco-Friendly Products and Gift Ideas Plus an Educational Lunch Featuring Dr. Alan Greene, Nationally-Recognized "Raising Baby Green" Author and Pediatrician

SEATTLE -- The Green Power Baby Shower Expo is coming to the downtown Seattle Sheraton Hotel from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2008. Admission is free to everyone interested in shopping for Green/sustainable/organic products for babies, expectant and new parents, and children. The Green Power Baby Shower features a luncheon presentation by Dr. Alan Greene, author of Raising Baby Green: The Earth-Friendly Guide to Pregnancy, Childbirth, and Baby Care and a pediatric expert on WebMD. The Chair Elect of The Organic Center, Dr. Greene is a practicing pediatrician at Stanford University's Packard Children's Hospital. He also provides Green parenting information on his website at www.drgreene.com. Tickets are $65 each for the organic-menu luncheon, which runs from noon-1:30 p.m.

A portion of the proceeds from this event will be donated to the Institute for Children's Environmental Health (www.iceh.org) based in Freeland, Wash., a nonprofit educational organization working to reduce and ultimately eliminate environmental exposures that can undermine the health of current and future generations.

The Green Power Baby Shower is sponsored by Green for Good (www.greenforgood.com) a recently launched Green web hub that provides information, community, shopping, and marketing services for individuals, businesses and organizations interested in adopting a more environmentally friendly lifestyle.
