SAN DIEGO -- PURE Bioscience (OTCBB: PURE) today announced the launch of QuikCharge[R] SDC by Earth Friendly Chemicals. The latest private label brand of PURE's patented silver dihydrogen citrate (SDC)-based disinfectant was introduced at the 2008 Pumper & Cleaner Environmental Expo, the world's biggest annual trade show for environmental service professionals.

QuikCharge[R] SDC is an EPA-registered, Category 4 disinfectant that provides 24-hour residual protection and a 30 second kill against standard indicator bacteria (Staph, Pseudomonas and Salmonella) with a two-minute kill claim on the dangerous MRSA and VRE bacteria. QuikCharge[R] SDC also kills other pathogenic organisms, including E. Coli, Listeria, HIV Type I, Herpes Simplex Type 1, Influenza A, Rhinovirus, Poliovirus and carries a 10-minute kill time on fungi. In addition to its broad-spectrum efficacy superior to that of traditional disinfectants, QuikCharge[R] SDC is odorless, colorless, non-corrosive, non-flammable and does not promote bacterial resistance.

Prior to launching an SDC-based disinfectant, PURE's private label distributors' products must be sub-registered by PURE with the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and each distributor must subsequently apply to all 50 states for individual state regulatory approval - a process that can take up to six months.
