Upcoming Operational Tests of GE Security's MASterMind/Alliance Combo to Open Doors to Access Control Services and Revenues
Business Wire, April 1, 2008
Beta Tests Planned for Industry-Leading Integration Designed to Deliver Greatly Enhanced Operational Value and New Revenue Stream for Central Stations
BRADENTON, Fla. -- GE Security Inc., a business of GE Enterprise Solutions (NYSE:GE), today announced operational testing of the company's newest MASterMind integration module designed to offer centralized, remote management of the Alliance hardware platform will take place this summer.
The integration of MASterMind and Alliance will deliver robust new access control and intrusion alarm management capabilities to the industry's most widely used central station monitoring solution.
This MASterMind Managed Access Integrated Module will offer central station monitoring customers the potential for an additional recurring monthly revenue stream comprised primarily of remotely managed access control services. At the same time, it will provide proprietary users of MASterMind the ability to bring their access control, intrusion alarm and video events into one integrated platform. In addition, it will open the door for Alliance hardware customers to take advantage of the proven scalability of MASterMind.
"We are especially excited to move this important integration into operational testing as it is proof of our ongoing efforts to invest in MASterMind and our other integration platforms to deliver innovative applications to benefit customers across a broad range of industries and applications," said Dean Seavers, president and CEO, GE Security. "This is a great example of GE Security's commitment to partnering with customers and end-users to develop integrated solutions that are purpose-built to meet their unique and real world security challenges."
MASterMind is the most widely used monitoring solution among the top security companies and wholesale monitoring centers. MASterMind is also used by a growing number of major school districts, financial institutions, retailers, and other proprietary users seeking scalable, enterprise event management capabilities for access control, video and intrusion for their own in-house monitoring activities.
Alliance is a uniquely integrated global hardware platform that can provide cost-effective and powerful intrusion alarm and door control capabilities while offering expansion to provide scalable, full-featured access control. Through a combination of technologies, users may arm/disarm their alarm system though the presentation of an access card while simultaneously archiving intrusion alarm and access control events into a single database.
The MASterMind platform offers standard connections to a wide range of video, intrusion and access control systems. It is also used to manage virtually all back-office applications including accounting, billing, lead tracking, service and installation scheduling, and other critical infrastructure needs as well as a suite of Web solutions.
