Former SEC Commissioner Richard Y. Roberts Named to Global Crown Capital's Advisory Board

SAN FRANCISCO -- Global Crown Capital, LLC ("GCC"), a boutique investment firm, has named former SEC Commissioner, the Honorable Richard Y. Roberts to the firm's advisory board. The advisory board plays a pivotal role in guiding the firm as it continues to offer valuable financial and strategic advice to its rapidly expanding clientele of leading institutions, corporations and high net-worth investors around the globe.

Mr. Roberts was nominated by President George Bush and served as SEC Commissioner from 1990 to 1995. He has been involved in, written about, or testified on a wide range of subjects affecting the capital markets. Since leaving the Commission, Mr. Roberts has been a frequent media commentator and writer on public policy issues affecting securities, and has assisted the governments of Romania and Ukraine in developing a securities market. From 1987 to 1990, he was the Chief of Staff for Senator Richard Shelby.

Mr. Roberts is a member of the Advisory Board of Securities Regulation & Law Report and sits on the Advisory Board of the International Journal of Disclosure and Governance, as well as the Editorial Board of the Municipal Finance Journal. He served as a member of the NASD's District 10 Regional Consultative Committee from 2002 to 2004. From 1999 to 2001, he served as a member of the Market Regulation Advisory Board of the NASD; and from 1996 to 1998, he served as a member of the Legal Advisory Board of the NASD. Mr. Roberts was a partner in the law firm of Thelen, Reid, & Priest until forming the law firm of Roberts, Raheb & Gradler in Washington, DC.

Mr. Roberts earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from Auburn University, a J.D. from the University of Alabama School of Law, and an LL.M. from the George Washington University Law Center.
