Little's Chemicals Practice and has joined its U.S. Senior Advisory Board. After graduating from MIT, Peter held successive management positions with Esso Research & Engineering and Scientific Design Company. Peter founded Chem Systems, a leading international chemical consulting company which he later sold to IBM. Peter has over 30 years of chemical industry expertise helping multinational firms develop successful growth strategies while facing numerous complex issues, from portfolio restructuring to globalization. He has authored numerous articles and two landmark books entitled: Petrochemicals - The Rise of an Industry (John Wiley & Sons, 1988) and The Chemical Industry at the Millennium (Chemical Heritage Foundation (2003). Peter is widely recognized as one of the most renowned chemical experts in the world and is the holder of several patents in petroleum refining and chemical processing.

Peter possesses a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and a M.Sc. in Chemical Engineering Practice from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, the university where Arthur Dehon Little founded the School of Chemical Engineering Practice and later, the consulting firm that bears his name.
