Sybase iAnywhere Unveils SQL Anywhere 11 Beta

DUBLIN, Calif. -- Sybase iAnywhere today announced the beta availability of "Panorama," code-name for the next release of SQL Anywhere([R]), its market-leading data management and synchronization solution. Over 200 new features have been added to SQL Anywhere that further enhance its leadership in enabling frontline database applications. Today, SQL Anywhere powers thousands of embedded and mobile database applications with over 10 million deployed licenses. SQL Anywhere innovation continues to provide improved performance, reliability, scalability and functionality to applications ranging from workgroup and branch office systems to mobile applications used by sales people and service technicians. * Embedded full-text search - provides a powerful yet compact facility to effectively search the ever increasing amounts of unstructured data in the front lines
* New data synchronization options - builds on our rich, heterogeneous synchronization platform with the addition of new failover and load balancing options, background synchronization, and support for MySQL
* .NET and Perl stored procedures - ensures developers can leverage their programming language experience to implement database business logic
