Business Wire, April 15, 2008
New Versions of Newmerix Automate! for Oracle E-Business Suite and Newmerix Automate! for PeopleSoft Allow for Easier Integration With Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007
SUPERIOR, Colo. -- Newmerix[TM] today introduced new versions of Automate!Control[TM] and Automate!Change[TM] that provide workflow, document management, improved data reporting and enhanced security for PeopleSoft[R] and Oracle[R] E-Business Suite customers. Additionally, because Automate!Control and Automate!Change were built to easily integrate with Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007, customers benefit from increased collaboration, information sharing, and productivity.
With this upgrade, Automate!Control for Oracle E-Business Suite and PeopleSoft now provides users with a workflow for service requests. Workflows are managed by the Office SharePoint Server 2007 workflow engine and allow Newmerix customers to better manage the audit trail of their service requests - which is critical for process efficiency and regulatory compliance. Additionally, Automate!Control has enhanced document management capabilities that provide document version control and customizable views as a result of the tight integration with Office SharePoint Server 2007. These capabilities reduce the cost and time to perform IT audits as well as improve collaboration and information sharing among IT and Business stakeholders.
"Integrating the Newmerix Automate! suite with Office SharePoint Server 2007 provides our customers with tremendous value," said Dan Gannon, president and CEO of Newmerix. "Our customers greatly reduce the cost and effort to manage PeopleSoft and Oracle applications as a result of advanced capabilities like workflow and document management."
With Automate!Change, Newmerix has added security capabilities for Oracle applications and PeopleSoft environments. For example, the addition of role-based user authorization enables application administrators to set access policies that result in significantly greater control over the change management process as well as greater assurance of separation of duties throughout the application lifecycle.
"We are seeing increased industry-wide adoption of Office SharePoint Server 2007 and we are excited to see more companies like Newmerix integrate their products into the environment," said Tom Rizzo, Director of SharePoint, Microsoft. "With Newmerix's broad customer base and their customers' need to work efficiently, we are pleased that the integration with Office SharePoint Server 2007 will provide these customers with added functionality and customization."
