QuickLogic's ArcticLink Solution Platform Earns Prestigious Portable Design 2008 Editor's Choice Award
Business Wire, April 16, 2008
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- QuickLogic[R] Corporation (NASDAQ:QUIK), the lowest power programmable solutions leader, today announced that its popular ArcticLink[TM] solution platform has been named a winner in the 2008 Editor's Choice Awards by Portable Design magazine. This year's winners were chosen after reviewing thousands of product submissions.
The Portable Design Editor's Choice Award underscores the importance of integrating programmable fabric and hardwired Proven System Blocks (PSBs) such as USB 2.0 High Speed OTG with PHY or ULPI interfaces, SD/MMC/SDIO, and CE-ATA into a single platform. "We're honored that Portable Design Magazine has recognized the contribution that the ArcticLink solution platform makes to the portable handheld electronics market," said Brian Faith, Vice President of Solutions Marketing for QuickLogic. "Design teams are continually challenged with developing new products based on ever changing requirements, driven from the diverse consumer demographics of varying geographies, operators and retail chains. The ArcticLink platform's hardwired PSBs and the programmable fabric provide the foundation for QuickLogic's system engineering teams - to quickly deliver Customer Specific Standard Products (CSSPs) to our customers."
About ArcticLink
The ArcticLink solution platform combines hardwired blocks with an embedded ultra-low power programmable fabric block, all in a single-chip solution. The fact that the ArcticLink solution platform is a standard product, allows QuickLogic's system engineers to use it as the starting point for delivering CSSPs that address the user experience, connectivity and battery life issues in portable consumer electronics today.
