Miranda Mizen Joins TABB Group as a Senior Consultant

Former SVP of Transaction Services at the Amex Brings 20 Years' Experience in Equity Trading and Product Strategy to Firm's New York Office

NEW YORK -- TABB Group, the New York- and London-based financial markets' research and strategic advisory firm focused solely on capital markets, today announced that Miranda Mizen, most recently senior vice president of transaction services at the American Stock Exchange, has joined the firm as a senior consultant based in their New York offices. Mizen brings more than 20 years experience in the equity trading, product management and product strategy arenas.

Mizen moves to TABB Group from the American Stock Exchange, which is being acquired by NYSE Euronext (NYSE Euronext: NYX), having served as senior vice president of transaction services from 2004 to 2007 with responsibility for the functional development of the Exchange's hybrid trading platform for equities and Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs).

Prior to the Amex, she held senior positions at SBC Warburg, now UBS (NYSE: UBS), Instinet Corporation and TowerGroup. At SG Warburg, which was incorporated into SBC Warburg, she served as head of French equity trading and ran the equity risk positions for the group from the Paris office. She went on to implement strategic trading initiatives designed to create transparency and efficiency at both SBC Warburg and later at Instinet, which she joined in London in 1997 as a product manager responsible for designing and implementing an order management system for cross-border business, moving to New York in 1999 to work on Instinet's front-end trading applications. While at SBC Warburg, she co-led the UK FIX Committee, formed to promote adoption of FIX in the UK as the messaging standard for real-time electronic exchange of securities transactions.

Mizen also served as a senior research analyst at TowerGroup for nearly two years, focusing on technologies used by institutional brokers. She received a BSc Econ degree from the University College Cardiff in Wales.
