One Laptop per Child is a non-profit organization created by Nicholas Negroponte to design, manufacture and distribute laptop computers that are sufficiently affordable to provide every child in the world access to new channels of learning, sharing and self-expression. The public relations campaign driven by Racepoint Group focused on shaping global opinion in favor of the project, and promoting a North American fundraising campaign to enable the delivery of 150,000 laptops to children in some of the world's poorest countries. To date, the OLPC campaign has received the following accolades:

* MERCURY Excellence Grand Winner for Non-Profit Campaign of the Year for 2008;

* Bulldog Reporter 2008 Gold Award in the Best Not-for-Profit/Association/ Government Campaign category;

* PRWeek 2008 Honorable Mention for Non-Profit Campaign of the Year;

* International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Gold Quill Merit Award for Economic, Social and Environmental Development for 2008.

Racepoint Group has also earned a Bulldog Reporter 2008 Silver Award in the Best Health, Medicine & Fitness Campaign category for its work on behalf of NeuroLogica Corporation, a Danvers, Mass.-based company that manufactures and markets advanced medical imaging equipment. In order to help drive sales of the company's innovative portable CT scanner, Racepoint Group designed a multi-faceted campaign to explain the device's benefits not only to medical and hospital professionals, but also to the general public and to professional sports in which concussions and other traumatic brain injuries (TBIs) are prevalent. In addition, Racepoint Group introduced NeuroLogica to members of Congress who had spoken out about the troops in Iraq sustaining TBIs. The highly creative campaign included outreach to print, broadcast and online media as well as product placements on several popular medical television shows - ER, Grey's Anatomy, House and Diagnosis X.
