Sybase PowerBuilder Delivers AJAX and .NET Enhancements Enabling Rich Internet Application Development

(NYSE:SY), a leading provider of enterprise infrastructure and mobile software, today announced that AJAX development capabilities and further Microsoft([R]).NET enhancements have been added to the latest version of Sybase([R]) PowerBuilder([R])11, the premier 4GL rapid application development (RAD) tool. PowerBuilder 11.2 represents another milestone in the PowerBuilder roadmap for delivering .NET interoperability and incorporates new features such as AJAX functionality for WebForms, which enables richer, more interactive data-driven application development.

With the inclusion of AJAX technologies, Sybase is enabling our customers to leverage the world of Rich Internet Applications (RIA) and Web 2.0 on the .NET platform for their existing PowerBuilder applications.
