As HR Outsourcing Increases, Administaff Expands Small Businesses Advocacy Through Co-Sponsorship of National Small Business Week

Business Wire,  April 21, 2008

HOUSTON -- Administaff, Inc. (NYSE:ASF), a leading provider of human resources (HR) services for small and medium-sized businesses, continues its advocacy for small businesses by serving as a co-sponsor for the U.S. Small Business Administration's (SBA) National Small Business Week, April 21 - 25, 2008.

"We see the entrepreneurial spirit of small business owners hard at work every day, and this is the same passion that Administaff was founded on more than two decades ago," said Paul J. Sarvadi, chairman and chief executive officer of Administaff. "As the professional employer organization (PEO) industry and Administaff continue to grow, it is essential for us to remain committed to helping small businesses succeed. Supporting National Small Business Week is one way we can help these organizations thrive."

An increasing number of small businesses are outsourcing their HR functions to PEOs, such as Administaff. According to the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations (NAPEO), of which Administaff is a member, gross revenues for the PEO industry increased by 15 percent from 2006 to 2007.

"Regardless of economic fluctuations, we offer small business owners a competitive advantage and a systematic way to improve productivity," said Sarvadi. "We help manage risk, even during periods of economic downturn when there are more workers' compensation claims, more terminations and more opportunities for unemployment-related risk. By having Administaff handle these and other HR burdens, small business owners can focus on building their entrepreneurial dream instead of coping with HR issues."

Administaff's participation in National Small Business Week will help the SBA honor small business owners in Washington, D.C. during the Opening Reception and Presentation of the Entrepreneurial Development Awards on Monday, April 21, and the Champion Award Winners Gala, on Wednesday, April 23. Administaff is the nation's leading professional employer organization (PEO), serving as a full-service human resources department that provides small and medium-sized businesses with administrative relief, big-company benefits, reduced liabilities and a systematic way to improve productivity. The company operates 49 sales offices in 24 major markets. For additional information, visit Administaff's Web site at http://www.administaff.com.
