RWD Technologies "Goes Live" with Solutions From Answerthink and SAP
Business Wire, April 22, 2008
MIAMI -- Answerthink, the SAP division of The Hackett Group, Inc. (NASDAQ:HCKT), today announced the successful global go-live of SAP, including Best Practices for Professional Services, at RWD Technologies, LLC (RWD), a professional services organization that develops, supports, trains, and provides consulting and integration services for major multinational corporations.
RWD, headquartered in Baltimore, MD, has been helping clients improve operational efficiency and enterprise performance with innovative software technology and end user training solutions for 10 years. RWD has a broad range of integrated products and services designed to improve the productivity and effectiveness of workers in complex operating environments.
As a global company operating in the US and thirteen other countries, RWD needed the complexity of integrated functionality and a stable environment while also requiring a system that would allow them to continue running existing SAP payroll. RWD contracted with Answerthink, which developed and configured a solution that includes Best Practices for Professional Services organizations. Answerthink developed an implementation plan which enabled the continuance of SAP payroll and a new G/L SAP ERP Release 6.0 application. RWD and Answerthink were successful in launching the collective go-live at all locations, which included ERP, Business Information, cProjects and portals.
"During my career, I have seen several systems implementations and upgrades. This is the first that was completed close to budget and on-time. With upgrades like this, it's not hard to expect a real horror story. But with Answerthink's help, the project was a clear success," said Dennis Pick, Chief Financial Officer for RWD and the project sponsor.
Answerthink is an SAP gold channel and services partner that develops and offers qualified SAP Business All-in-One partner solutions - industry-specific software, implementation, and training for packaged solutions. Answerthink also specializes in providing low-cost on-time delivery and implementation of SAP solutions using Best Practices - proven practices that have enabled successful companies to maintain and grow in the midst of challenging business realities.
According to Guilherme Gosling, Answerthink Senior Director for the RWD project, "The success of the project resulted from an excellent partnership between the RWD team and Answerthink consultants."
